Audi DRC suspension service and repair

Dynamic Ride Control (DRC)

Dynamic Ride Control (DRC) is a dynamic damping technology, in the Audi RS4, RS5, RS6 and RS7, that ensures stability and comfortable rides. When cornering quickly, the valves regulate the oil flow to immediately generate a corrective force on the opposite side. This allows the vehicle to sit more tightly on the road and dampens movement. Although DRC performs well for years, over time the suspension lines and valves will lose fluid due to leaking or worn hydraulic lines. It therefore makes sense to have the DRC in your Audi checked and optimized in order to continue to enjoy the benefits.

When are service or repairs required to restore Dynamic Ride Control (DRC)?

  • Rides become rougher than normal.
  • When cornering, accelerating and braking, there is more swaying from side to side or front to back.
  • You must drive slower in corners to maintain control, as steering accuracy and performance are reduced.
  • There is increased pedal vibration.
  • A maintenance check reveals a shock absorber is leaking and the shock absorber needs to be replaced.

In the event of one or more of the above described situations, it is wise to make your DRC service appointment with us. Our workshop has the specialized equipment that is needed to perform the DRC service.
